1Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing or using the Scanzy mobile application ("App"), you ("User", "you") agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Woodapple Software ("we", "us", "Company"), the developer and operator of Scanzy.

2Description of Service

Scanzy provides the following functionality:

• On-device OCR scanning of physical business cards using Google ML Kit.
• A card generator that creates digital visiting cards from user-provided text.
• Export of cards as PNG images and PDF documents.
• Cloud storage of cards linked to the user's Scanzy account.
• A card gallery with organisational and follow-up features.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3Account Registration

To access cloud sync features you must register by providing your full name, email address, password, company name and chapter/organisation name. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information.
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with anyone.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised account use at support@woodapples.in.
• Be responsible for all activity occurring under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Scanzy to:

• Scan or store business cards without the knowledge or consent of the card owner where required by applicable law.
• Upload, store or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene or infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App.
• Use automated tools to scrape, index or extract data from the App or API.
• Impersonate another person or entity in your account profile.
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable local, national or international law or regulation.

5Intellectual Property

The Scanzy application, its design, source code, trademarks, logos and all content produced by us are the exclusive property of Woodapple Software, protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your personal device solely for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the App or its content without our prior written consent.

6User-Generated Content

Content you create in Scanzy — including scanned card data, generated card designs and notes — remains yours. By storing content on our servers you grant us a limited licence to host and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to store all content you upload, and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights.

7Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times.
• OCR results will be 100% accurate — all scanned data should be reviewed by the user before saving.
• The server infrastructure will be free from data loss — we recommend keeping your own backup of important contacts.

8Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Woodapple Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, as the App is free, shall be zero).

9Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct reasonably considered harmful to other users, us or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@woodapples.in. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases and we will delete your account data within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

10Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Maharashtra, India.

11Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.

The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the most recent changes were made.
